Drown the road is the first collaborative work between Alexis Fernández and Julio César Iglesias, both Cuban-born dancers who have been developing their work in Europe for years. The research stems from the idea of exhausting the path, of confronting it.
Drown the road has two versions, a longer one for indoor venues in which we collaborate with musician Roland Van Campenhout performing live, and another, in a short format, which we present at festivals in outdoor spaces.
Creation and performance: Julio César Iglesias & Alexis Fernández
Assistant director: Caterina Varela
Music (indoor version): Roland Van Campenhout
Produced by La Macana & Julio César Iglesias with the support of Unusual Symptoms, Theater im Pumpenhaus, and NORMAL – Cultural Intervention Space of the University of A Coruña.
